Deputies of the European Parliament pointed out high level of preparation and conduct of the parliamentary elections in Ukraine, as declared Jerzy Buzek, polish minister and member of the inter-Parliamentary commission on Ukraine-EU cooperation.

Zuker opined that this election process proved that after the presidential elections-2004 Ukraine had inherited “really democratic power”, ForUm’s correspondent reported.

“This election is a day of democracy’s victory,” said Jerzy Buzek and added that “this is a great day not only for Ukraine, but to the whole Europe as well, as European countries hope Ukraine will become really democratic and European country.”

According to him, EU observers noted only “insignificant inconveniences”, which concern the way of organization of the election process. In particular, he mentioned that there were long queues and people had to wait several hours to get their bulletins. Buzek underlined that next time the government should think over this problem and prevent from such queues.
