More than five thousand voters of Ukraine came Sunday to Moldova to take part in parliamentary election in Ukraine.

As reported Vasyl Protsenko, chairman of Union of Transdniestrian Ukrainians, this time Ukraine refused to open polling stations in Transdniester, which caused certain difficulties for Ukraine’s citizens, residents of the left bank of Dniester.

“According to the last data, more than 67 thousand Ukraine’s citizens live in Transdniester, and total Ukrainian diaspora’s numbers makes 200 ths people,” said Protsenko.

According to him, Union of Transdniestrian Ukrainians gave 30 buses to deliver voters to Kishinev and Belts, where polling station had been opened, to take part in the elections.

The polling station of the Ukrainian embassy informed that about 50 ths voters had been put on the list.

During the last presidential elections Ukraine opened seven polling stations in Transdniester. More than 90% out of 17 thousand voters voted for Victor Yanukovich.
