Speaking before students and professors of Dragomanov’s National Pedagogical University, US Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Ukraine John Herbst reported about the situation concerning conduct of preparation for the parliamentary elections and answered students’ questions, ForUm’s correspondent informed.
In his speech Herbst underlined that for the whole history of young Ukraine forthcoming parliamentary elections are being held in the most honest way. At the same time he noted that there are serious problems, such as formation of voter's list. Voter’s lists in Donetsk and Zhytomyr regions miss residents of whole apartment blocks, and sometimes residential areas.
Besides, the Ambassador expressed his dissatisfaction about misspelling of voters’ surnames while translating from Russian into Ukrainian and vice verse.
