VR increased financing of election campaign

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed changes to the state budget 2006, which provide for increase of election campaign financing by 137 mln 222 ths hryvnias.

384 out of 407 deputies registered in the hall voted for the changes.

“Changes to the state budget 2006 concern two questions – increase of financing of TV and radio informational campaign about the day of the elections and locations of election commissions. Besides, we propose to increase financing of fee for members of district and territorial election commissions in the day of the vote,” said acting head of VR budget committee Ludmila Suprun.
