In April 2006, Russia's Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) and the Ukrainian National Space Agency (NKAU) intend to approve of a program for cooperation in the sphere of research into and use of outer space in 2007-2011. NKAU's press service has reported that a draft of this program was approved at a Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental committee's space industry panel meeting on February 27 in Moscow, RBC informs.

In the course of the meeting the sides discussed among other things Ukraine's participation in the international Radioastron project, and Russia's participation in the Ukrainian-Brazilian project Cyclone-4.

The Russian Space Agency intends to take part in NKAU conference conserning the prospects of the space research which  will be held September, in Yevpatoriya. The next intergovernmental space industry panel meeting will take place that month in Kyiv.
