GAK (Kyiv Civil Active) – the Civil Organizations Union, sent the open letter to Kyiv Mayor Oleksandr Omelchenko. GAK demands to stop land allotment for new construction until the final decision concerning Elita-Centre is passed. The letter is addressed to Oleksandr Omelchenko, Volodymyr Polyachenko the Chairman of the Kyiv Council Permanent Commission on Town-planning and Architecture and the deputies of Kyiv City Council.

Thereby, the letter reads that “politicization of Elita-Centre fraud did not settle the problem of deceived investors or influence the land allotment for new house-building. The deceived Kyiv residents hold meeting before the Kyiv City Council and blockade the traffic on the main city street. They are unsatisfied with the work of the Commission which is investigating the facts concerning the Elita-Centre fraud. In their opinion, the Commission is aimed at delaying time to the election. The week is over but not a word was said by the capital officials. They have failed to voice any proper proposal and the legal experts have not found the way out of the problem.

GAK demands to stop considering all questions concerning the land allotment for the house-dwelling by Kyiv City Council or any other corresponding commissions until the victims’ problems get settled.”

Oleksandr Pabat, GAK leader put his signature under the open letter.
