Victor Yushchenko met with Torstein Moland, Telenor Senior Executive Vice President and CFO, and Jan Edvard Thygesen, Executive Vice President and CEO of Telenor Networks. Ukraine’s Transport Minister Victor Bondar, Kyivstar President Ihor Litovchenko, and Social and Economic Policy Service Head Pavlo Gaidutsky attended the meeting.
They discussed social and economic changes Ukraine had undergone in the past year and also considered investment plans of the Telenor Company.
Mr. Moland and Mr. Thygesen saidour countryhad made much progress and particularly improved its investment climate. The Head of State welcomed Telenor’s intentions to expand their range of services and improve quality.
Telenor is a large provider of telecommunications services. It is also one of the biggest investors in the national mobile communications market, owning 56.5% of Kyivstar, which covers 92% of the country and provides affordable services all around Ukraine.
