Today another lot of infringing CDs has been destroyed on the territory of one of Kyiv plants, as reported press office of Security Service of Ukraine to ForUm.
SSU systematically takes measures on preventing and revealing of violations of intellectual property rights. Department of Security Service initiates and conducts examinations of entrepreneurs, who distribute infringing production in Kyiv trading network.
During 2005-2006 officials of Security Service revealed and put an end to unlawful actions of a number of entrepreneurs, engaged into illegal distribution of audio and video CDs, phonogram, software and data bases, instituted 17 criminal cases and withdrew more than 47869 CDs to the amount of 802333 UAH.
