Speaking during the session of Volyn regional council in Lutsk, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn declared about necessity to review state budget-2006 before the parliamentary elections.

According to Lytvyn, the budget changes are necessary but the government does not agree with this. He explained that political motives of the government are comprehensible, but a question arises: who will win from this?

In Lytvyn’s opinion, “a coalition and government, formed after election, will pass such budget, which is convenient for both parties, but not for Ukraine.”

The Speaker also offered to increase budget deficit up to 3%.
