Defense Minister of Ukraine Anatoly Hrytsenko will take part in 42nd Munich conference on security policy and will address its participants.

As reported press office of Defense Ministry of Ukraine, Ukrainian military delegation at the head of Hrytsenko departs for Germany today, February 3.

On his arrival, Hrytsenko is scheduled to conduct working meetings with Defense Minister of Russia Sergey Ivanov and the deputy parliamentary leader of the Social Democrats Walter Kolbov.

February 4 German Chancellor Angela Merkel will open the 42nd Munich conference with the speech “External policy and security policy of Germany to global challenges.”

NATO authorities, defense and foreign ministers of NATO country-members, leading politicians in security policy of countries of Europe, Northern America and Asia will take part in the work of the governmental forum, UNIAN informs.

The agenda includes such topics as “Europe and the USA: examination of partnership.” “NATO future role within the context of international peace security.” During the consideration of topic “To solve conflicts by way of international cooperation” Ukraine’s Defense Minister will take the floor.

Hrytsenko is also scheduled to meet with US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, German Defense Minister Franz Josef Jung, Defense Minister of Poland Radoslav Sikorsky.

Ukraine was first represented on 35th Munich conference.
