During today’s working visit to Odesa, leader of Party of Regions Victor Yanukovich commemorated Holocaust victims and laid flowers on a monument on Just men’s Alley, as reported press office of the Party.

“Today the whole world marks Holocaust victims’ Day. That day all people of good will should remember once again how harmful the display of religious and national intolerance is and what a disaster it can bring to the society,” pointed out the Party leader.

Yanukovich also underlined that “certain events and statements of politicians in Ukraine prove that Holocaust should be remembered today, despite the fact that ten years have passed since the time of the tragedy.”

According to him, “in our country we have some examples of that anti-Semitic literature is being distributed with impunity, speeches of far right politicians do not find blame.” “As long as there are such examples, it is necessary to talk about Holocaust,” noted Yanukovich.
