On January 19, Kateryna Yushchenko, Head of the Supervisory Council of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation, took part in a ceremony to bless an orphanage in Odessa, the President's press office told.
Intended for almost one hundred children under the age of seven, the recently built facility was sponsored by the Odessa City Council, NGOs, and philanthropists.
Odessa Governor Vasyl Tsushko, Odessa Mayor Edward Hurwits, famous businessmen and religious leaders attended the ceremony.
Following the event, the First Lady visited the Assumption Monastery.
