Sweden will make every possible to expedite the agreement formation between Ukraine ad the EU on liberation of visa regime for Ukraine’s citizens, Laila Freivalds Swedish Foreign Minister told.
During the meeting, Swedish Foreign Minister and her Ukrainian counterpart Tarasyuk discussed the issues of further development of bilateral cooperation in political, economical, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The participants paid great attention to the cooperation within a context of the new Swedish Government Strategy towards collaboration with Ukraine for 2005-2008. The key items of it touch upon the support of Ukraine’s integration in the EU through the realization of corresponding bilateral projects.
Discussing the ways of energy saving and security of Ukraine and the EU, the heads of external departments stressed the importance and perspectives of cooperation in these fields.
