USAID launches projects “Improvement of Family Planning and Reproductive Health” in Ukraine.
Nancy Godfrey, USAID Director of the Office of Health and Social Transition together with Yuri Haydayev Deputy Health Minister, the representatives of the President’s Secretariat, Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet will take part in the opening of five-year project. The budget makes $9.75 million.
The projected is aimed at reduction of aborts, unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. It will launch its work in two or three regions and then spread over half of Ukraine by 2010.
