Victor Yushchenko spoke with Parliamentary Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn. They agreed to conduct a joint session of the cabinet and Verkhovna Rada to find a compromise in today’s turbulent political situation, the President's press office told.
The President reiterated that Ukrainian political elite should settle all conflicts at negotiations to preserve understanding and stability in the country. He expressed confidence that all political parties should give up their emotionsand ambitions and stop making impolite statements in order to demonstrate that they respect Ukraine and the people. Then Yushchenko urged politicians to observe the Constitution and never betray national interests.
