Today Victor Yushchenko visits Astana, Kazakhstan in order to take part in the ceremony of the inauguration of Nursultan Nazarbayev the newly elected President of Kazakhstan.
He is to hold series bilateral meetings with the heads of the different countries. The agreement about official meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin was reached during the phone conversation on January 6. Victor Yushchenko intends to discuss with Putin the items of gas-transport sphere and to propose to build several gas pipelines via Ukraine for increasing of gas transit.
On January11, the official date of the inauguration, Astana will host the representatives from seventy countries and the high level delegations from thirty two countries. The presidents of Georgia, Kyrgyzstan , Uzbekistan, Croatia, Afghanistan, the prime ministers of Azerbaijan and Latvia, the Deputy Chairman of China, the Vice-President of Bulgaria and the speakers of Poland and Belarus.
