National oil and gas company “Naftogaz Ukrainy” and “RosUkrEnergo” will form a joint venture for delivery of Turkmen and Russian gas to Ukraine, as declared Ukraine’s PM Yuri Yekhanurov during today’s press conference.

“The main gas deliveries will be accomplished by the joint venture, which is to be formed during January,” said Yekhanurov.

He noted that the corresponding agreement had been specified in the protocol, signed today’s night in Moscow by Gazprom President Aleksey Miller, Naftogaz President Oleksiy Ivchenko and two representatives of RosUkrEnergo. Ukrainian PM expressed a hope that the venture would start working from February 1.

Yekhanurov also noted that the joint venture would deliver about 40 milliard cu m of Turkmen gas and about 22 milliard cu m of Russian gas to Ukraine at $95 per 1000 cu m during this year.
