National oil and gas
company “Naftogaz Ukrainy” and “RosUkrEnergo” will form a joint venture for
delivery of Turkmen and Russian gas to Ukraine, as declared Ukraine’s PM Yuri
Yekhanurov during today’s press conference.
“The main gas deliveries
will be accomplished by the joint venture, which is to be formed during January,”
said Yekhanurov.
He noted that the
corresponding agreement had been specified in the protocol, signed today’s
night in Moscow
by Gazprom President Aleksey Miller, Naftogaz President Oleksiy Ivchenko and
two representatives of RosUkrEnergo. Ukrainian PM expressed a hope that the
venture would start working from February 1.
Yekhanurov also noted that
the joint venture would deliver about 40 milliard cu m of Turkmen gas and about
22 milliard cu m of Russian gas to Ukraine at $95 per 1000 cu m during
this year.
