Russia and Ukraine
settled gas dispute having appointed “RosUkrEnergo” Company (joint venture of Gazprom
and Raiffeisen
Bank) a gas supplier to Ukraine.
According to five-year contract
Gazprom will sell gas to “RosUkrEnergo” Company at $230 per 1000 cubic meters and Ukraine will
buy gas from the company for $95, as informed Gazprom President Aleksey Miller.
Gazprom explained that the price
difference would be compensated by inclusion of Turkmen, Uzbek and Kazakh gas
into “RosUkrEnergo”
balance.
Miller also reported that the
sides had agreed about increase of tariff for gas transit via territory of Ukraine
from $1.09 to $1.6 per 1000 cu m. The payment will be made by cash means only.
