Russia and Ukraine settled gas dispute having appointed “RosUkrEnergo” Company (joint venture of Gazprom and Raiffeisen Bank) a gas supplier to Ukraine.

According to five-year contract Gazprom will sell gas to “RosUkrEnergo” Company at $230 per 1000 cubic meters and Ukraine will buy gas from the company for $95, as informed Gazprom President Aleksey Miller.

Gazprom explained that the price difference would be compensated by inclusion of Turkmen, Uzbek and Kazakh gas into “RosUkrEnergo” balance.

Miller also reported that the sides had agreed about increase of tariff for gas transit via territory of Ukraine from $1.09 to $1.6 per 1000 cu m. The payment will be made by cash means only.
