Victor Yushchenko telephoned Moldova President Vladimir Voronin to discuss areas of trade and economic cooperation between the countries and preparations for an upcoming visit of Moldova Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev to Ukraine on December 30.
The sides also discussed the situation in Trans-dniester and exchanged their opinions on regional issues, the President's press office reported.
