Ukrainian and Russian Presidents Victor Yushchenko and Vladimir Putin discussed gas issues during a telephone talk on Tuesday.
As the Ukrainian President reiterated, he stands up for liberalization of prices for gas supplies and transit, and the formula of the prices must be based on European approach, the presidential press office reported.
The two Presidents agreed that Ukrainian Minister for Fuels and Energy Ivan Plachkov would leave for Moscow on Wednesday to continue negotiations on the matter.
The two Heads of State also touched on the Russian Black Sea Fleet stationing in Ukraine. The Ukrainian President confirmed Ukraine's observance of the agreement on temporary stationing of the Russian fleet in Crimea.
