Russian Black Sea Command has made an official statement on discontinuance of sublease of some objects in the territory of Ukraine.
Previously Russian Black Sea practised sublease of some objects in the territory of the base for development of non-manufacturing business. It gave annually $600,000 of taxes to Sevastopol budget and 1,500 working places for the citizens of Ukraine.
However, it was not backed by Ukrainian authorities. Ukraine started striking unsound claims which accused Russia of violation of the agreements.
As a reminder, the base agreements on the Black Sea Fleet provide for Russian $97 million paid annually. According to the agreement of 1997, Ukrainian debt for Russian energy carriers ($3.74 milliard) was set off by this sum.
