The President pays one-day working visit to Iraq, the press office told. He goes to Delta base camp in Wasit province where Ukrainian peacemakers were located. The President Yushchenko is to be present in the ceremony of delivery Ukrainian ammunition and equipment to Iraqi Armed Forces as it was settled before.
Victor Yushchenko is to meet Iraqi PM Ibrahim Al Jaafri and to invite him in Ukraine. The parts will discuss the items of economic cooperation and the priorities of bilateral relations between two countries.
The agenda of the visit consists of meeting with Deputy Commander of Multi-National Forces Mick Houghton.
