Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decreed to permit international postal money order of foreign currency. The corresponding edict was issued December 21, 2005. The document says that international postal money order of foreign or national currency is accomplished according to statutory order.
The rules provide for that only natural persons (residents and non-residents) can be senders and recipients of currency money order, and that money order should not be connected with business activity.
Operators of the postal service are obliged to identify natural persons, realizing money order, according to passport.
Natural persons – residents can accomplish money order abroad:
- in favour of foreign natural persons (600 dollars per month at the most),
- for purchasing foreign production, including literature and subscription publications (200 dollars per month at the most)
- for paying services of notarial or other authorized bodies (200 dollars at the most)
Natural persons – non-residents can accomplish postal money order abroad for the same purposes in the amount of 600 dollars at the most, providing documents, which confirm origin of currency.
Natural persons – residents and non-residents – can receive currency postal money order in the amount of three thousand dollars in one order during one working day.
Commission charge for sending and payment of order makes one hryvnia.
