Russia can not set European prices upon natural gas for Ukraine, as these prices count transportation expenses, including territory of Ukraine.
“Ukraine will never pay the same price as Europe does, because it is necessary to count transit expanses. Everyone should understand this,” declared Ivan Diyak, the President aid, during today’s round table “Ways of ensuring energy independence of Ukraine.”
One of the participants of the round table – Mykola Horcharuk, head of oil and gas resources Department of Naftogaz Ukrainy – noted that the prime cost of natural gas production from gas well in Russia makes about 12$ for 1000 c.m.
“We know that at the border with Ukraine Russian gas costs 55 dollars for 1000 c.m. maximum, while in Slovakia the gas is sold at 190 dollars,” pointed out Honcharuk.
