Coming out in the press conference, Yuri Yekhanurov says he cannot imagine the political reform restricting the President’s plenary powers.
“Read the new Constitution from the point of view of the state government and try to imagine the President who possesses the ponderable plenary powers and influences because he is the Head of the country, and to imagine the parliament possessing the huge plenary powers and has the right to edit not only acts but the decrees and to do it leaving aside the President. Such decrees and acts will be obligatory for the new Cabinet to execute, so the question makes a slip.
In response to the journalist’s questions about his New Year dream, PM of Ukraine said “My dream is that Ukraine will not turn in the ruins and everybody to comprehend that Orange Revolution is the beginning of big and difficult work.”
