President urges judges to make Gongadze trial public

During today's press conference in Kyiv, Victor Yushchenko urged judges to make the Gongadze trial public.

“I want to ask the court to make the whole procedure public and to invite journalists and cameramen,” he said.

The President added that there “might be some arguments to keep state secrets” but said Ukrainian laws allowed “to make this trial public while keeping these secrets.”
