Victor Yushchenko and Oleksandr Morozov, Chairman of Board of the State Savings Bank of Ukraine, met with Peter Tils, Managing Director of Deutche Bank, to discuss cooperation in the banking sector, the President's press office reported.
They particularly considered joint projects to finance housing programs and agriculture in Ukraine. The Ukrainian side asked Deutche Bank to help formulate mechanisms to compensate devaluated savings of the USSR Savings Bank.
The Head of State supported the initiative to sign a cooperation memorandum between the banks and invited Mr. Tils to become a member of the Presidential Council on Foreign Investment.
