President Victor Yushchenko opened a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the President's press office reported.
Anatoly Kinakh, NSDCU Secretary, Victor Pynzenyk, Finance Minister, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Economy Minister, Victor Topolov, Coal Minister, Oleksiy Ivchenko, Deputy Energy Minister, Oleh Rybachuk, Secretariat Chief-of-Staff, and Ihor Drizhchany, Head of the Security Service, are present at the meeting.
The main points of the meeting are:
- Ukraine’s energy security and fundamentals of state energy policy;
- the current state of the agrarian complex and measures to ensure food security in the country;
- a draft state program to develop the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2006-2011.
