Olexander Omelchenko, Kyiv city chairman, declares that he has abandoned his place in the electoral list of NSNU party (People’s Union Our Ukraine) and will stand for Kyiv mayor.
“An institution of local governing is closer to people than other governmental bodies. I hope I’ve made right decision. I give my place in NSNU top five to more promising politicians, who are not charged with administrative work and who want to be Verkhovna Rada deputies. They will be of more use for people, than administrators,” said Omelchenko to journalists today.
