Vladimir Putin, President of Russian Federation, has shown invariably positive spirit to development of cooperation with Ukraine and its government, as declared Volodimir Lytvyn, the Verkhovna Rada Speaker, on today’s press conference in Moscow.

Commenting on his meeting with Russian President, Lytvyn informed that Vladimir Putin was very interested in political and economic situation in Ukraine, as well as in political shares on the eve and after the parliamentary elections.

They also shared their views concerning further development of cooperation between the countries.

Additionally, Victor Yushchenko also spoke today with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In their telephone conversation, the sides discussed international and economic issues. They considered ways to develop new economic relations between the two countries.

The Presidents also discussed means to transit Russian gas to Europe and to import it to Ukraine. Then Yushchenko and Putin spoke about mutually beneficial ways to liberalize tariffs and customs regulations. They agreed that all propositions would be soon considered by the governments.
