Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk and Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Geir H. Haarde discussed ways to activate Ukrainian-Icelandic cooperation in all fields of relationships and the question block of regional and international character.
The parties pointed at the insufficient dynamics of bilateral relations. In connection with this, Ukrainian and Icelandic ministers agreed to develop and strengthen multi-branch fundamental of intergovernmental ties and to improve investment, trade and economic constituent of relations.
Icelandic Foreign Minister Geir H. Haarde in turns hailed Ukrainian efforts to join NATO and the EU.
Borys Tarasyuk invited Geir H. Haarde to pay official visit to Ukraine in time preferable for Icelandic colleague.
