Pechersk District Court, Kyiv terminated President’s decree of November 4, 2005 “On appointment of Oleksandr Medvedko Prosecutor General of Ukraine,” the rule of court of December 1, 2005 reads.
The decision was passed as a security of Piskun’s claim on inactivity of the President of Ukraine. The rule reads that Piskun claimed to recognize illegal inactivity of the President of Ukraine because the court decision of November 18, 2005 had not been carried out. This judgment was recognized illegal dismissal of General Prosecutor Piskun and reinstated him in office.
Regarding all mentioned previously and stated recently, Pechersk District Court of Kyiv rendered the judgement: to redress Piskun’s suit; to terminate President’s decree on Medvedko’s appointment as a provisional remedy.
The parties may appeal against the judge’s decision.
