Victor Yushchenko pays one-day visit to Crimea, the President’s press office told. The Head of the state is to visit villages seized by the bird flu and to control the situation on the spot. The governmental headquarter will make a report on the measures assumed concerning the bird flu ictus.
Vice-PM Yuryi Melnik, Agrarian Minister Olexander Baranivsky, Interior Minister Yuryi Lucenko, Health Minister Yuryi Polyachenko and the Deputy Chairman of the President’s Secretariat Anatoly Matvienko accompany the President during the visit.
As a reminder, Zavet-Leninskoe and Pushkino villages (Djankoy district), Nekrasovka village (Sovetskiy district), Yemelyanovka and Izobilnoe villages (Nizhnegorsky district) have been seized by the bird flu.
