The state of emergency has been introduced in the regions infected with the bird flu. Having received the information on the bird flu registered in Crimea, the President of Ukraine held the urgent meeting in order to consider the problem. Emergency Minister Victor Baloha, Finance Minister Victor Pynzenyk, Health Minister Yuryi Polyachenko, Agrarian Minister Olexander Baranivsky and Yuryi Lucenko took part in the meeting.
After the meeting President Yushchenko signed the decree introducing the state of emergency in the Autonomy Republic of Crimea.
The President of Ukraine charged the corresponding authorities to form the headquarters for coordination of the emergency work. Emergency Minister Victor Baloha was appointed the chief of he headquarters.
