Victor Yushchenko ordered heads of law enforcement agencies to investigate the murder of Stepan Senchuk, former Lviv governor, the President's press office reported.

He commissioned Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko, Security Service Head Ihor Drizhchany and Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko to visit the crime scene to personally study evidence and to inform him of all results.

The Head of State presented his condolences to relatives and friends of Senchuk. He wished them to courageously accept this bereavement. Yushchenko stressed that this was a tragedy for all people who had known Senchuk.
