Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed the Act of Ukraine on Volunteer Movement in the first reading. The Act was submitted for consideration by the Cabinet of Ukraine.
295 out of 411 members of Ukrainian parliament voted for the act.
The Act is to regulate organization and legal norms of the volunteer activity in Ukraine. In accordance with he Act, a volunteer must be graduated by the access courses or at least have sufficient experience of volunteer work.
According to the new Act, the social services must be regularly certificated. The results of the certification are to determine the level of worker’s classification and the salary.
