On November 25, Victor Yushchenko will preside over a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

NSDCU Secretary Anatoly Kinakh, Secretariat Chief of Staff Oleh Rybachuk, Defense Minister Anatoly Hrytsenko, Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko, Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk, Head of the Supreme Court Vasyl Malyarenko, Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko, NBU Chairman Volodymyr Stelmakh and Head of the Security Service Ihor Drizhchany will take part in the meeting.

They are expected to discuss ways to reinforce defense security of the state and to develop Ukraine’s cooperation with the NATO. The participants are going to analyze whether NATO integration is relevant to our national interests, and are determined to find ways to coordinate state agencies in this process. They will also discuss our country’s role in the implementation of the Ukrainian Plan to settle the Trans-dniester conflict. Then they will speak about the expedience to establish an interdepartmental NSDCU commission to coordinate law enforcement agencies to fight corruption.
