Ukraine and the EU have finished the first round of negotiations concerning simplification of visa procedure. As a result, the sides achieved a certain progress.
In particular, they agreed upon unification of visa procedure, determination of certain category of persons, who will be exempted from visa duties, registration of long-term visas for the period of five years, introducing of visa free procedure for individual group of citizens.
The next round of negotiations is planned for January 2006 and will be held in Kyiv.
