Trade Union of medical workers is preparing All-Ukrainian strike, as reported “STB” TV channel.
The medical profession will protest against low salary. As Tamila Karazina, head of the Trade Union, noted, state budget for 2006 year does not provide means for increasing of doctors’ salary.
According to parliamentarians’ estimate, ten milliard hryvnias are needed for full-fledged existence of the medical sphere.
November 29, about three thousand medical workers will come out to the building of Cabinet of Ministers. The warning picket can develop into All-Ukrainian strike.
Presently, the average salary of a medical worker makes 523 UAH (100$).
