The European Union has started negotiations with Ukraine concerning liberalization of visa procedure. The negotiations concern short-term visa for the period till three months. It is possible visa procedure to be reduced, and visas may become cheaper and easier of access.
It is also planned to determine criteria for long-term visas during the negotiations, LIGA reported.
Liberalization of visa procedure means opportunity for some sections of the Ukrainian population – owners of diplomatic passports, scientists, sportsmen, workers of culture, businessmen, journalists - to get Schengen visa easier.
