On November 22, the miners working in Karbon Shakhtyorsk coal mine, Donetsk region, refused to lift to the surface having decided to strike underground.
“About 30 miners take part in the underground strike,” said the Deputy Shaktyorsk Mayor Mikhail Shcherbak. $74,000 of salary debts caused the protest action.
The representatives of the strikers and the local authorities have departed for Kyiv Coal Ministry in order to solve he problem. The miners have laid down one more condition concerning the residential fuel supply.
