At the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, Victor and Kateryna Yushchenko took part in a presentation to open an exposition of the Trypillya culture, President's press office reported.
Koїchiro Matsuura, UNESCO Director-General, was present at the opening.
The Head of State said by this exposition, Ukraine to the World, our country was starting a series of exhibitions. Yushchenko said they would help the world “learn more about Ukraine and even itself.”
The President informed all that next year they would hold another exposition to display about a thousand of Trypillya exhibits.
Mr. Matsuura stressed that the UNESCO was ready to cooperate with Ukraine in various cultural projects.
