Anatoly Gritsenko, Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, declared that the government is deciding about free transfer of superfluous military equipment to Iraq.

Gritsenko noted that such offer was received from Iraq’s Defense Minister. According to Gritsenko, Iraq needs it very much. The Minister said that according to the state program of Ukraine’s Armed Forces reformation, Ukraine would have three times more military equipment than needed.

Gritsenko informed that it is provided to transfer submachine guns and ammunition, binoculars, TNT blocks and motor vehicles.

The Minister noted that a lot of countries do the same. In particular, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Estonia and others have already transferred free military equipment to Iraq.
