President Victor Yushchenko, his wife Kateryna Yushchenko and Culture Minister Ihor Likhovy visited the Ivan Franko Theatre to watch the play Natalka Poltavka featuring Oleh Skrypka, Ukraine’s famous rock musician.
The Head of State had already visited Skrypka’s concerts but this time he wanted to see him perform in slightly different surroundings.
Yushchenko is convinced one can implement art reforms being familiar with modern trends and innovations in the field.
After the play, he spoke with actors and Theatre Director Bohdan Stupka. They discussed ways to present Natalka Poltavka in all regional centers of the country.
The President came to the theatre soon after he had been interviewed by French newspaper Le Monde.
