President of Ukraine congratulated Ukrainian Muslims on Oraza Bayram

In his greeting, Victor Yushchenko stressed that, as an integral part of the human cultural civilization, Islam had been closely interlaced with Ukraine’s culture and religion, the President’s press office reported on November 4.

“Our society values tolerance, urge for peace and concern for relations characteristic of Ukraine’s Muslims,” he said.

The Head of State stressed that the state was taking necessary measures to make all its citizens spiritually develop.

“Our task is to create conditions for cultures, languages and spiritual values of all nationalities and religious confessions to develop freely,” he said. “Let this holiday bring joy, happiness, prosperity and peace to each family.”
