By the end of 2006 Ukrainian armed forces will be formed partially by contract soldiers. They will make 50% of the contingents.
Such statement was made by Commander-in-Chief Sergey Kirichenko. He took a floor in the conference “National Security of Ukraine in the context of Euro-Atlantic Integration: organizational and legal aspects.”
He stressed that Ukraine would fully reformatted in accordance with contract basis by 2010.
Ukrainian Armed Forces will consist of 40% of senior officers and 60% of junior officers.
