The lack of high-quality roads in Ukraine is caused by poor financial aid for this field of industry, the Chief of State Road Service of Ukraine Vadim Gurzhos.
“There is Act on Financial Sources of Road Sphere in Ukraine. According to it, Ukravtodor (Ukrainian Road Company) is to get 100% of oil excise tax, oil import, car import, tires and others. But every year Act on Budget reduces it by 60%,” pointed out Gurzhos.
As a reminder, the roads have not been fixed since the 90-ies in Ukraine.
