Today Valentin Nalivaychenko the deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine and Jeffrey Labovitz the Chief of IOM Representatives Offices to Ukraine signed the Agreement on Cooperation.

Coming out in the press conference, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Boris Tarasuk stressed the importance of the document which would let to exert every effort for fighting the human trafficking and illegal immigration.

“The agreement legally regulates the problem of return to Ukraine those citizens who left the country under compulsion of human traffickers,” pointed out Tarasuk.

IOM will provide Ukrainian victims of the sexual exploitation with financial support abroad.

Jeffrey Labovitz in turns stated that IOM would back Ukrainian initiation to protect citizens of Ukraine abroad.

“We will open at least five information centers which will help Ukrainians,” stressed Labovitz.
