The situation with regard to the seizure of a boat with 22-strong Ukrainian crew off Somalia's coast on October 19 was discussed during the meeting of Ukrainian Defence Minister Anatoly Gritsenko and US Defence Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld in Lithuania.
Anatoly Gritsenko and Donald Rumsfeld reached an agreement that in case the situation developed negatively or if similar situations would occurred in regions where Ukraine does not have military presence or where it could not influence the incident, Ukraine would coordinate its efforts with partner-nations, the USA included, the Cabinet press service reported.
