It's very important for Georgia to have Ukrainian investments, Georgian Speaker Nino Burjanadze, told Thursday joint press conference with Ukrainian Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn. She also stated her believe that Ukraine would never use its investments to bring pressure to bear on the Georgian economy.
Nino Burjanadze called on Ukraine to take more active part in Georgia's political life. "We want Ukraine to assist Georgia in settling the Abkhazia conflict," she said.
"I'm glad that our countries and their speakers have such tight relations," Nino Burjanadze said. She also noted that it's very important for her country to move forward to the EuroAtlantic integration jointly with Ukraine.
